Several Action Figure Companies Make The Grade

NECA, Playmates, Jakks, Hasbro, Mattel, Bandai and McFarlane Toys made this year's list of The Top 100 Global Licensees according to LicenseMag.com. LicenseMag.com is the online home of License! Global Magazine (formely known as License Magazine), which over time has switched from a domestic look at what's going on in the world of licensed product to a more global take on industries and segments large and small.

Most of the action figure manufacturers on this list this year are repeat honorees from last year. They are noted for various reasons as being some of the best licensees to work with. Those reasons include quick lead times, depth of product lines, strong distribution channels and more. The most notable exception of course being McFarlane Toys which was absent from the list last year.

Other toy companies which aren't as well known for action figures but still make great toys included Fisher Price, TOMY and LEGO.

Action Figure companies missing include Diamond Select Toys and Marvel Toys (formerly Toy Biz), though this shouldn't be surprising considering what happened to these companies in 2007.
