Animated Debut Boba Fett

Animated Debut Boba Fett is a pretty interesting little figure. This version of Boba Fett comes from his debut appearance in the animated portion of The Star Wars Holiday Special. He's a recast of the VOTC Boba Fett, except this version sports a new set of forearms. You can see him next to Concept Fett and the new TAC version of the VOTC Fett.

He sports an impressive amount of articulation, with a ball joint head, ball/hinge shoulders, ball/hinge elbows, swivel wrists, a swivel waist, swivel hips ball/hinge knees and ball/hinge ankles. This allows him to get into some fairly dynamic poses.

As for accessories, he comes with his jet pack, a blaster pistol which can be stored in a specially cut holster on his right hip and the electropole he was featured with in the cartoon.

All-in-all he's a fairly satisfying figure. The paint scheme is a bit bland. They went for a metallic sheen on the blue that works and doesn't work at the same time. It's a very plain scheme overall, but it's fairly accurate to the source material.

I give Animated Debut Boba Fett's action figure Debut a 3.5 out of 5

It's a solid figure. He's been popping up at Wal-Mart locations all over the US. Do yourself a favor and avoid the hunt. You can buy him direct from Hasbro in his silver coin version.
