McFarlane Toys revealed photos of the first series of one of thier more talked about in-house licenses for 2008 today. Warriors of the Zodiac Series 1 has become something of a fan favorite with only teasers and a few unpainted sculpt photos. Today we see if the figures begin living up to the hype that's been built up for weeks with small glimpses and shadowy teasers.

Spanning the year, 12 Warriors of the Zodiac will be released by McFarlane Toys. And the back-story of the figures is colossal. Earth is under attack from alien forces wreaking chaos and destruction on a massive scale. Armies are forming. Is it random, or it could be part of something much, much larger?
